Cooking time: Approx. 25 minutes
Stove temperature: Medium-High
Utensils:
Large pot
Wide pan with lid
Strainer
Large mixing bowl
Grater
Measuring Cups
Teaspoon
Large plate
Ingredients:
500g Regular Beef Mince
¼ cup Bread Crumbs (Krummies)
1 Egg
1 handful of grated Tasty Cheese
1 packet of Masterfoods Tuscan Meatballs
500g Jar of Classic Tomato Pasta Sauce (Dolmios or Raguletto)
1 tspn of Olive Oil
½ large packet of Pasta (Penne or Spaghetti)
Salt & Pepper
Method:
1) Fill your large pot with water and place onto the stove on high heat.
Once the water is bubbling add your pasta and 2 shakes of salt.
Stir the pasta regularly throughout the course of this recipe so that it does not stick.
2) Place the mince, egg, breadcrumbs into a large mixing bowl and combine together with your hands.
* Note – you can keep the mixture as is, or you can add a handful of grated cheese to the mixture now.
(For the purpose of this recipe I added cheese to mine)
3) Wet your hands then taking a teaspoonful of the mixture, roll it into a ball and place onto the large plate.
Repeat until there is no mixture left.
4) Gently place the meatballs into your pan with a tspn of oil on medium-high heat.
Turn regularly until they are cooked through. This should take 5-10 minutes.
5) Next add the entire packet of Masterfoods Tuscan Meatballs and the entire jar of pasta sauce.
Stir thoroughly then add 3 shakes of salt and pepper.
6) Put the lid on your pan and simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes. By this time your pasta should be ready.
Drain the water and then serve with your meatballs. You can leave as is or add a handful of cheese on top –
either are nice, however if you are looking for nice presentation I wouldn’t add the cheese.
I hope you enjoyed this step by step tutorial. :)
This recipe is delicious for dinner – and is definitely affordable if you are entertaining guests.
It is also great reheated for work/school lunches the next day.
This recipe is similar to that on the Masterfoods Tuscan Meatballs packet –
however I have cooked this many times and modified it each time until it was perfect.
